Product overview
Sugarcane thrives in tropical and subtropical climates, where it needs plenty of sunlight, warmth, and water. It grows best in well-drained, fertile soil. The plant is typically grown in large fields, and it requires regular irrigation, especially during dry periods. After about 12-18 months of growth, the sugarcane is harvested, and the stalks are processed to extract sugar and other products, like molasses. Sugarcane is an important crop for making sugar, and it is also used for making rum and ethanol.
