Amaltas Extract

Amaltas is an antidiabetic, hepatoprotective (liver protecting), antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, hypolipidemic, antioxidant, antitussive, antimicrobial, antiparasitic, antitumor, anti-itching, antileishmanial, wound healing and larvicidal. Amaltas is a miraculous herb that is of deciduous origin. It is usually medium-sized growing to a height of 25 cm. It has alternate smooth, ovate-shaped, hairy, pinnate, leaves, with 4-8 leaflets on either side, fruits in the form of pendulous, cylindrical, indehiscent pods bearing 20-25 shiny black, seeds. Amaltas Leaves are deciduous, long and pinnate. Three to eight leaves are combined to form a cluster and each leaflet is about 7-21 cm long and 5-9 cm broad. This tree produce pendulous racemes long flowers with five yellow equal sized petals. Amaltas Fruit is a legume with pungent smell serving several seeds inside.
