Amba Haldi Extract

Amba haldi, also known as Mango ginger is Curcuma amada. It is an Ayurvedic spice used for the treatment of joint pain, itching in the skin, indigestion, cough and wounds. Amba Haldi is native to the eastern Himalayan region and is cultivated in India for its use in medicine. Amba Haldi is useful for many things because of its antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anticarcinogenic, and anti-inflammatory qualities. Ambahaldi (Curcuma Amada) is also known as raw turmeric, mango ginger, and white turmeric. The rhizome has a bitter flavour and mild spice, similar to ginger. It is available in the spring and all through the fall months. It is known as Amba Haldi in Hindi, which translates to “mango turmeric, “indicating its camphor green mango aroma.
