Totapuri Mango Pulp

Appearance : Uniform, homogeneous smooth, slightly thick consistency, free from fibers and any foreign and extraneous matter. Aroma & flavour : Characteristic prominent aroma of natural ripe Totapuri Mango and free from any fermented and offensive flavour. Totapuri Mangoes (Magnifera indica) are ablong with prominent beak in shape and about 6-8 inches long. The skin of the fruit is thick and green, yellow or a fanciful combination of these colours, but is inedible. There is a central large seed surrounded by the pulp which ranges from pale to bright yellow. Composition of Mango Fruit Pulps: Table 1 shows that mango pulp contains 81.2% of moisture and this result is in agreement with Holland et al. [33] and Ahmed [34], who studied the chemical composition of mango pulp and found that moisture content ranged from 81.7 to 82.4%.
