Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is an unrefined oil extracted from the flesh of palm fruit, known for its reddish-orange color due to the high content of beta-carotene. Rich in saturated fats and antioxidants like vitamin E, it is widely used in the food industry for cooking, frying, and as an ingredient in processed foods such as margarine, snacks, and baked goods. CPO is also a key ingredient in the production of biofuels, soaps, and cosmetics. Its high yield and cost-effectiveness make it one of the most widely produced vegetable oils in the world. However, sustainable sourcing is critical, as palm oil production can impact deforestation and biodiversity if not managed responsibly.
