Corn Gluten Powder
Corn Gluten is a fiber-rich ingredient, containing significant amounts of nutritious protein and starch. It is used as a feed additive in cattle diets as a source of energy and protein that is beneficial to digestion and absorption. It's the only effective natural pre-emergent herbicide in turfgrass industry. Corn gluten meal (CGM) is the principal protein of corn (maize) endosperm consisting mainly of zein and glutelin. It is a byproduct of corn processing that has historically been used as an animal feed. Corn gluten meal is an herbicide that stops weeds before they start. It's a natural source of nitrogen, which prevents weed seeds from germinating.
