Product overview
It is most commonly used in truck scales and tank and hopper applications. Instead of being secured at one end and load applied to the other end as in the single ended shear beam, the double ended shear beam is secured at both ends and the load is aplied to the centre of the load cell. Shear beam load cells are widely used where operators need to measure compressive forces. The core component of a shear beam load cell is a spring element. This element is a piece of metal that is elastically deformed under load and recovers the moment the load is removed.
