In detergents, it enhances cleaning efficiency by preventing dirt particles from redepositing on fabrics during washing. Additionally, STPP is utilized in ceramic processing to improve the fluidity of glazes and reduce viscosity in ceramic slips. Despite its effectiveness, STPP can contribute to environmental concerns due to its impact on aquatic ecosystems when discharged into water bodies.
