Unlike multi-phase condensers, which handle both steam and non-condensable gases, a single-phase condenser focuses exclusively on steam condensation. It typically consists of a series of tubes or plates through which steam flows, while a cooling medium, such as water or air, circulates outside or around these tubes to absorb the heat. The cooled steam condenses into liquid water, which is then collected and often reused or discharged.
