Rotary drilling is the use of a continuous circular motion of the drill bit to make a hole. With rotary drilling, a hole is drilled by the continuous turning of a drill bit. Rotary drilling employs a rotating bit and drilling mud to cut through rock formations. As its name suggests, the centrifugal sifter (also called a rotary sieve) works on the principle of centrifugal forces to screen powders and granular materials.
