Product overview

**Henna Application and Aftercare: A Step-by-Step Guide**

To apply henna, begin by washing your hands thoroughly. If you’re using a cone, carefully cut a small tip off the cone straight across or remove the pin if you have an open-tip cone. Grasp the cone near the back and apply gentle pressure with your thumb, palm, and fingers. Take time to find a comfortable grip that suits you; some prefer holding it like a pastry bag, while others treat it like a pencil. The cone tip should not touch the skin directly, allowing you to lay smooth, even lines without a “scratchy” texture. By varying the pressure, you can control the width and flow of the lines.

Once your design is complete, you may add cosmetic glitter for a shimmering effect. Allow the design to dry for 15-30 minutes or until it’s dry to the touch. As the henna dries, it may crack or peel off, so it’s essential to seal the design using an Aftercare Sealant Spray or Medical Tape—do not use both.

When removing the paste, gently flake it off into a trash can or tub, avoiding washing it off with water. If any sticky residue remains, use coconut or vegetable oil to help remove it. Over time, the henna will darken, starting as a bright orange color and turning red over 48 hours. The henna stain typically lasts 7-10 days, with the longest duration on hands and feet. To protect the design, apply a generous coat of balm or coconut oil.

Enjoy your unique, custom henna design, which will naturally fade as your skin exfoliates.
