A Pressure Leaf Filter is an industrial filtration device used to separate solids from liquids. It consists of multiple vertical filter leaves (plates) housed within a closed vessel. Each leaf is covered with a filter medium, which captures solid particles as the liquid flows through. The filtered liquid exits the vessel, while the solids accumulate on the leaves. Once the filtration cycle is complete, the collected solids, known as filter cake, are dried and discharged. Pressure Leaf Filters are highly efficient, offering large filtration areas in a compact design. They are commonly used in industries such as chemical processing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and oil refining for their ability to handle high flow rates and remove fine particles.
