Sona Masoori Rice

Sona Masoori is an aromatic and lightweight medium-grained rice known as the “Pearls of South India,”. With its delicate flavor, it is the perfect choice for pongal, coconut rice, steamed rice or as a compliment to South Indian Curries. Due to its non-sticky nature, it is perfect for all types of dishes (traditional, Chinese, continental etc,) It also has a sweet taste, unlike basmati or any other regular white rice types. The brown variant of the rice is a little more grainy than the white variant, owing to the fibre content. Also known by the vernacular name 'Bangaru Theegalu', Sona Masoori is an aromatic, lightweight and mediumly grained rice grown in the southern parts of India.
