Product overview
Apart from its role in PVC production, ethylene dichloride is used as a solvent in various applications, such as in adhesives, coatings, and as a cleaning agent in some industries. It also finds use in the manufacturing of other chemicals, including ethylene amines and agrochemicals.
While useful in many industrial processes, EDC can be hazardous to human health if not handled properly. Exposure to high levels can cause respiratory issues, headaches, and irritation. It is also toxic to the environment, so precautions are necessary in its handling, storage, and disposal.
