Rotary Knob
Rotary switch knobs are control knobs that fit various types of rotary switches, rotary encoders and shafts. They play an important role in making a device easier to control by adjusting levels. The degree of rotation applied to the switch knob corresponds to the desired input. A control knob is a rotary device used to provide manual input adjustments to a mechanical/electrical system when grasped and turned by a human operator, so that differing extent of knob rotation corresponds to different desired input. Modern rotary switches use a "star wheel" mechanism to provide the switching positions, such as at every 30, 45, 60, or 90 degrees.
