Epoxy grout is a high-performance material made of resin, hardener, and filler, designed for applications requiring strength, durability, and chemical resistance. It is commonly used in areas prone to moisture, stains, or chemical exposure, such as kitchens, bathrooms, laboratories, and industrial facilities. Known for its smooth, non-porous finish, epoxy grout provides a long-lasting, hygienic surface that resists water absorption and mold growth. Key properties include exceptional compressive strength (70–90 MPa), tensile strength (20–30 MPa), and flexural strength (30–50 MPa), ensuring durability in heavy-use environments. Its excellent chemical resistance protects against acids, alkalis, oils, and solvents, making it ideal for harsh conditions. Epoxy grout is also non-shrink, maintaining its volume during curing, and offers thermal resistance up to 120°C for standard formulations. Available in various colors, epoxy grout retains its appearance over time and requires minimal maintenance. Its water absorption is near zero (<0.1%), making it highly effective in wet or submerged areas like swimming pools. The material sets quickly, with an initial set time of 30–60 minutes and full curing within 24–48 hours. It is typically applied in joints 3–15 mm thick. Epoxy grout’s superior bond strength and non-porous finish ensure reliability in both residential and commercial settings. Although it requires careful mixing and application, its long-lasting performance and aesthetic versatility make it a preferred choice for demanding environments.
