Dry Coconut is fully matured form of coconut when the milk inside is dried and the coconut hardens. The moisture left is also sun-dried which shoots up the oil content in the coconut. It is white to off in color. Dry Coconut is the most common type of Coconut in the market. Characterized by a hard brown shell with a hairy appearance surrounding the flesh. Coconut can be considered a complete food as it's incredibly rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, and natural sugars. Coconuts are used as whole fruits or by their parts: mesocarp fibers, milk, kernel (or flesh), and husk. Copra (the dried “meat” of the coconut seed), from which oil is extracted, is a significant cash crop throughout the tropics. Coir, the fiber from the fruit, is used in manufacturing.
