Currencies, Pricing and Payment Records on a Global TradesFolks Transaction

Updated 24 Aug 20265 min readGlobal trade

Global commerce should preserve the currency that belongs to each commercial record. A converted display should not replace the original amount and ISO currency.

01

Keep the original currency

  • Quotation should show its actual currency.
  • Order and invoice should preserve the agreed currency.
  • Payment record should match the commercial terms.
02

Use conversions carefully

  • Converted amounts may be useful for display/reporting.
  • Exchange rates can change.
  • The original record remains authoritative unless the parties formally agree otherwise.
03

Check totals

  • Quantity × unit price.
  • Shipping/insurance where included.
  • Taxes/duties where applicable.
  • Any documented marketplace or service charges.
COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Should every buyer see INR?
